Why pray

It was the Apostle James, who said:

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5

Notice that James does not just tell the believer to pray to God. He specifically says to pray to God who gives to all men.

The Spirit would have us understand a fundamental principle: The most important fact about prayer is not the size or complexity of our need but the understanding of God’s true nature.
