WE SEE LIGHT IN HIS LIGHT

WE SEE LIGHT IN HIS LIGHT

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Psalm 36:9

We have seen and received the light of the glorious gospel of Christ when we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

This light shines on anyone who hears and honours the message of Christ’s resurrection.

At new birth, we did not only receive the light but were also brought into the light.

Apostle Peter writes, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1Peter 2:9).

The Lord called us out of darkness and brought us into His marvellous light.
In our opening scripture, the Psalmist said, “For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light” (Psalm 36:9).

Having received the light into your recreated spirit, your mind needs to be lighted up by the word.

The word of God has the ability to enlighten the eyes of your heart so that your mind can grasp spiritual realities that cannot be naturally perceived and understood.

The scripture says, “The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes” (Psalm 19:8).

The word of God enlightens the eyes.
A believer whose eyes are enlightened by the word will be more educated in the things of the Spirit than the one who is not.

Moreover, the more you become acquainted with the things of the Spirit, the more you will be able to operate and function in them; thus, your life will be characterized by supernatural results.

This is the reason Paul the Apostle prayed for the believers in Ephesus: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power” (Ephesians 1:18-19).

The phrase “the eyes of your understanding” refers to the eyes of your heart or mind; and not the eyes of your spirit because your spirit is illuminated by the Spirit of God.

Your mind is the part of you that needs the illumination of the Spirit.

Give yourself entirely to the word so that you can be illuminated by the word to know what has been made available to you and walk in it. You are in the light; allow the word to give light to your mind.

Confession
My eyes are continuously enlightened by the word as I submit to the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit. Thus, I walk consistently in the blessing of the Lord.
