Spiritual Growth (Continued)
For several weeks now, we have been discussing Spiritual Growth. We have learned that we cannot grow without having a desire to grow.
1 Peter 2:2 KJV As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
But having a desire isn’t enough. Genesis tells us how God created the heaven and the earth where there was previously nothing.
Genesis 1:1-2 KJV
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And then He spoke and everything began coming into being, starting with the light
Genesis 1:3 KJV And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
As humans, we do not have that ability. We have to get our resources, or raw materials, from somewhere. If you want to build something or add onto your house, you might start by going to the hardware store.
