PUT YOUR FAITH TO WORK!
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Matthew 17:20
As believers, we need to take a clue from what the Lord said to His disciples in order to function properly.
A boy was brought to Jesus’ disciples, and they could not cure him. However, when this same boy was brought to Jesus, the demon that had oppressed him for a long time was cast out by Jesus, and the child was cured.
When the disciples of Jesus saw this, they came to Him privately and asked why they could not cure the boy:
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20).
The Lord shows here how to make things happen effortlessly. Let’s look at this again:
“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20)
For us today, the question of “if” does not arise anymore because faith has been given to us through the gospel (Romans 10:17).
Therefore, every child of God has faith.
We are believers!
We are instructed on what to do:
“ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you”.
We are to speak to the mountain.
Mountain here could mean obstacles, difficulties or problems.
As a faith-possessor, you are to say to, speak to or command the mountain to move, and it will move.
The way to put our faith to work is by speaking. Apostle Paul said in his letter to the church at Corinth,
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13).
The spirit of faith is a talking spirit.
Faith is in your heart because you believe with your heart.
However, your mouth is the outlet through which you release your faith for the supernatural.
Every believer must learn to release his faith by speaking what he believes in his heart. Issue a command to every seemingly difficult life situation, and it will disappear.
To actually live the victorious life that God has made ready for you, you must learn to put your faith to work by speaking faith-filled words.
Confession
I put my God-given faith to work today by speaking faith-filled words over life’s situations. My faith overcomes the world and its negativities. Amen!
